FAQ

Why do these duvets give such a good night's sleep?

British Wool used in our wool beddingThe natural curliness of wool effectively traps air between the fibres, allowing the skin to breathe naturally and regulating body temperature.  This thermal insulation makes wool cosily warm in the winter and pleasantly cool in the summer. With most duvet materials, the build up of heat leads to high humidity which in turn leads to restlessness and disturbed sleep. Wool however, is highly absorbent and wicks moisture away from the body leaving you dry and comfortable throughout the night.

Do you use British wool?

Our wool duvets are made from 100% British fleece wool chosen from carefully selected breeds whose wool is bouncy and resilient for perfect insulation.

Are these products from a sustainable source?

No bedding fibre can be more natural and sustainable than wool. It grows ... and it grows back! However, its durability and strength ensures that these wool products will last indefinitely.

Are these duvets hard wearing?

Wool is flexible - which gives great durability. Properly cared for this unrivalled natural product will remain in good condition for many years. Wool is also flame resistant.

How do I clean my wool duvet?

Wool is a natural product and an airing on a washing line from time to time should be sufficient to keep your duvet fresh. If necessary, however, they can be machine washed, on a wool cycle, using wool detergent. Air drying is preferable.

Why is wool bedding good news for allergy sufferers?

Wool’s moisture management qualities inhibit the spread of mildew, mold and bacteria and provide a hostile environment for dust mites, a major cause of so many allergies and prevalent in feather and down duvets.
